ANZAM SIG – Health Management and Organisation event – 15th September 2023

Date:

How to Optimise the Wellbeing of Healthcare Professionals

In the discipline of health service management, the causes and consequences of overwork and fatigue are well-documented, given their impacts on patients, organisations, and healthcare professionals.

To better understand overwork and fatigue, and how to address them, this event will showcase three initiatives, followed by a panel discussion with experts in these areas.

The first is a study in which fatigue, recovery, and cortisol levels were examined among nurses in an emergency department. The second is a study about junior doctors’ concerns about working conditions and their inability to voice these concerns. The third is an initiative to proactively engage with junior doctors, as well as listen to and address their working conditions.

Don’t miss your opportunity to learn how to optimise the wellbeing of healthcare professionals.
