Call for Expression of Interest

This workshop aims to support women early researchers completing a PhD and planning to publish their research. The workshop will focus on thesis writing especially preparing the thesis for submission, and writing for publication. Strategies for publishing in highly ranked Management and Organization Studies journals will be discussed, as well as developing a career as a women academic in Australian Business Schools. There will be a workshop dinner at Monash Art Gallery sponsored by Society for the Advancement of Management Studies and plenty of opportunities to meet colleagues from around Australia.

Gendering intersections among Ph.D/work/life
Who should attend? PhD candidates in their final year, post field work/data collection stage aiming to complete thesis writing and planning to write and submit journal publications as part of the transition from the PhD to becoming early career researchers/lecturers in Management and Organization Studies.
How to attend? If you are interested in participating, please send a short expression of interest statement on how the workshop will assist your PhD completion and also state the nature and methodology of your research. Please also state why you would like to be considered for the travel bursary. The statement should be no longer than 250 words and sent to Dr Uma Jogulu: u.jogulu@ecu.edu.au by 1 June 2023.
Review process The expressions of interest will be reviewed by the organizers. Sponsorship Due to generous sponsorship from the Society of Management Studies, the workshop will be free to attend. There will be some travel bursaries available.
