PhD Thinkers Program 2022

The PhD Thinkers Program is an interactive 2-day workshop discussing innovative interdisciplinary research on a contemporary work health and safety workplace issue. Please visit www.stresscafe.com.au/phd-thinkers to learn more about the discussion topic for 2022.

You will have the opportunity to network and build links with other Australian female PhD candidates, develop skills in interdisciplinary creative thinking and methodological approaches, boost career advancement and your future academic endeavours. You will build a strong network with the PhD Thinkers from the highly successful 2021 program!

You will learn critical research strategies and how to generate ARC research grants. Workshops and presentations will be led by an expert research team (ARC Laureate Fellow, Professor Maureen Dollard), interdisciplinary project experts (Match Studios) and UniSA’s 2022 Thinker in Residence, Professor Paula Brough.

Applications to join the workshop are competitive and places are limited. To be selected as a PhD Thinker, applicants must be currently enrolled at minimum in their second year as a PhD candidate in Australia. PhD Thinkers will be selected from diverse disciplines.

Please send through your CV and a separate document that answers in 300 words the question ‘How would joining this workshop assist you in your PhD journey and beyond?’. Email these documents to rachael.potter@unisa.edu.au. Successful applicants will be asked to provide a supporting statement from their supervisor if necessary.

The workshop is free of charge. Successful applicants are eligible to receive remuneration for childcare costs and travel costs when applicable.
