ANZAM Conference latest update – August 2021
We are thrilled to announce our first ANZAM 2021 Conference Keynote Pre-Event:
Graham Kerr, CEO at South32
Hackett Hall – Western Australian Museum, Perth WA 6000
Monday 8 November 2021, 6:00pm – 8:30pm AWST
Leadership in a Changing World
For more than six years Graham Kerr has blazed a trail as South32’s chief executive officer, leading the company through its demerger from BHP to its position today as a globally diversified miner. It’s been an extraordinary journey for the former BHP chief financial officer as he forged his own path, and that of South32, while facing the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Hear from Graham on the South32 journey, his vision for the future and leading a global business through COVID-19.
The Keynote will be recorded to create a high quality engaging video presentation, which will then be played ‘live’ during the virtual Conference.
Our Keynote pre-events offer networking opportunities to local delegates in selected cities and allow us to deliver the Keynote presentations to the majority of virtual delegates in a professional fashion.
See details on the Conference website and stay tuned for more Keynotes across the regions soon!
The papers are in and the reviewing is underway!
While there is a huge amount of activity that underpins the running of a conference, the good news is that receiving the base material in the form of paper submissions and workshop/symposium submissions is critical to ensuring that we can run a successful conference.
The next step is to review the submissions for papers and workshops.
Whilst this is occurring, we are simultaneously working towards presenting a series of keynote presentations that will occur across Australia/NZ prior to the conference and (following post-production activities) will be presented during the conference itself. The dates, locations along with the speakers themselves will be announced soon.
In the meantime, remember that while the conference itself is free, you do need to be a current ANZAM member to participate.
And finally, as a reminder, if it is not already in your diary, please block out Wednesday to Thursday 1–2 Dec 2021. We look forward to seeing many of you (virtually) over those two days.
Serving our members is ANZAM’s top priority and we know that this has been a particularly challenging time for the tertiary education sector.
We look forward to seeing you online this December.
