ANZAM 2020 Conference Postponed

It is with great regret that the ANZAM Board has decided to postpone the 2020 Conference until 2021. Still hosted by Edith Cowan University in Perth, it will now be held from Tuesday 30 November-Thursday 2 December 2021. We will not be proceeding with a virtual Conference.

The Doctoral Workshop, hosted by University of Western Australia, will be held on Monday 29 November 2021.

These decisions follow extensive consultation with a number of stakeholders, including the ANZAM Heads of Schools of Management, Stream Chairs, and the Conference Committee at Edith Cowan University.

We realise this is not ideal, however these are unprecedented times. Our feedback shows that delegates highly value the face-to-face networking opportunities afforded at our Conferences and Doctoral Workshops. We are also aware that travel both within and into Australia remains uncertain, and that many Universities are not able to approve Conference attendance this year.

The ANZAM Board is already investigating what it can offer members by way of professional development opportunities, as well as the many other implications arising from this postponement, e.g., awards, membership, etc. We will keep you informed as information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope the delay allows you the time to prepare an extra-special paper or Workshop proposal for 2021, and we look forward to the time when the ANZAM community can gather again.
