Take this opportunity to refine your skills, and to visit Christchurch in autumn. The "Garden City" is the gateway to the natural beauty of the South Island, and will also be the host of the ANZAM Conference in 2011. Christchurch is one of the sunniest places in New Zealand featuring sheltered bays, sandy beaches, bush clad valleys, rocky coastline, wineries, whale-watching, climbing, hiking, whitewater rafting, kayaking, and much more.
ANZAM organises other activities aimed at Early Career Researchers and Doctoral Students which might be of interest. For more information, go to: http://www.anzam.org/doctoral-matters
