ANZAM ECA Workshop: Presenting your Academic CV – QUT, Brisbane: 9 June 2017

ANZAM is holding a free Workshop mostly aimed at Early Career Academics (usually within 5 years of PhD completion) although all are welcome. The aim is to provide feedback and discussion about how to present CVs for future academic/management/leadership roles within universities that you may aspire to.  It will also look at social media profiles.  ANZAM brings together senior staff from many different universities around the country, so you can get feedback from people working at universities other than your own.  Participation in this Workshop does not mean you intend to leave your own university; it is designed to give you some extra information which may be helpful for your future.

Participants are asked to submit their CVs to Professor Lisa Bradley (lm.bradley@qut.edu.au) prior to the workshop, but no later than Friday 26 May.  Please also indicate if there is a particular type of future role that is desired (e.g., Research-focussed Professor; Head of School; Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator, etc).  Several senior academic panel members will look at each CV and provide feedback.  Each participant will then receive feedback specific to his/her CV and social media profile in a one-on-one session with at least one panel member.  Following the one-on-one sessions, the panel will provide some overall advice, discuss how they see future opportunities in universities, and respond to questions.

Registration is free, however submissions must be received by 26 May 2017.
