The 2015 Conference sees the introduction of a new Stream – Family Business and Enterprise.
As evidenced by the 2013 report of the Australian Joint Senate Enquiry titled Family Businesses in Australia – different and significant: why they shouldn’t be overlooked, there is growing recognition that family businesses are different but little is known about them. The introduction of the Family Business Stream aims to encourage research into issues surrounding what makes family businesses unique. Papers may be inter-disciplinary but should focus on ways in which families influence firm behaviour.
